On May 23, 2024, the Chinese and English versions of Invest Beijing · Beijing Foreign Investment Guide (2023 - 2024) (the “Guide”) were published on the website of The People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. The Guide is sponsored by Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center.
The Guide consists of four chapters. Specifically, Chapter I “Experience Beijing” contains an overview of Beijing and an introduction to development strength and strategy of Beijing. In Chapter II “Invest Beijing”, there is a detailed introduction to the key areas and investment areas. Chapter III “Policy Support” contains details in relation to industrial planning, foreign investment, headquarters economy, “specialized, refined, unique, and innovative” SMES, construction of “Two Zones”, construction of a national science and technology innovation center, digital economy construction, construction of an international consumption center, talent development, and key policies for major industrial parks. In Chapter IV “Investment Services”, the contents on creating world-class business environment, investment process, life in Beijing, investment cost, and service organizations are specified.
